My name is Lucia De Rivero, and I am very excited to be teaching Spanish this year. I am originally from Arequipa, Peru, a beautiful city surrounded by volcanoes. I studied Business Administration and Marketing at the Catholic University of San Pablo in Peru. At the same time, I dedicated myself to working with children through volunteer programs and different initiatives. My vocation for teaching has now led me to share my language and culture with your children. One of my favorite Bible verses is (Mc 4,40) when Jesus calmed the storm and told His apostles, “Why are you afraid? I am in the boat with you.” This passage always reminds me to trust and find peace in Him. My favorite saint is Saint Therese of Lisieux, 'The Little Flower.' She reminds me that even small things can be done with great love for God. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, dancing, and spending time with my family — especially with my little niece, who brings me so much joy. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to a wonderful year of learning together!
