The ASPIRE class aids diverse learners in their classroom. ASPIRE students are supported with accommodations documented on their Academic Support Plans. Our focus is student success. As the ASPIRE teacher, I facilitate the support students utilize at Nativity School. I work with the teachers and students to embrace our mission of inclusion. I am the mother of a daughter with Aspergers and diagnosed learning disabilities. After many years of strategies, tutoring, classes and workshops, I come to the ASPIRE class with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I graduated from Nativity School in 1984, my daughter graduated in 2013, and my son in 2019. I received a BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston. I have been teaching for 32 years; 23 years have been at Nativity. I enjoy teaching and seeing the wonder in a child's eyes when they discover something new. Being part of the Nativity family is a true blessing.
