Nativity School is a school serving the Catholic parishes on James Island and Johns Island and the outlying areas.  It serves the children of the parishes of the Church of the Nativity, Holy Spirit and Our Lady of Good Counsel.  In addition, Nativity School welcomes all others who are interested in a Christian education regardless of gender, race, creed, national or ethnic origin.

              In accordance with Diocesan Policy:

              1. Children entering K-5 must be 5 years old on or before September 1.

             2. Children entering 1st grade must be 6 years old on or before September 1.

Admission is not final until all registration forms are submitted with the appropriate registration fee, baptismal/birth certificate, immunization record, parish verification (Catholics), and appropriate testing(s) are complete before Nativity School accepts a student.  Parents are required to participate in fundraising activities and volunteer a minimum number of hours during the school year under the direction of the Parent Teacher Organization.  See the Parent Teacher Organization, and Volunteer sections of this Handbook and the application form for more details.  Parishioners of The Church of Nativity must supply the school with their Parishioner Status Confirmation Certificate to receive the parishioner tuition rate.
